Can you believe it? The big day is just a week away. I'll soon be a Mrs.... FREAKY!! Things are beginning to come together.
I picked up my wedding dress. There's a bit of drama with that, but, I will not stress about it. You see, without giving too much away, my dress is very fitted. This has been a major thorn in my seamstresses side because she's had to it adjust 6 times. I mean, if I lose 1/2 pound it's falling down. And I've not been trying to lose weight, but I guess all the running around & anxiety just made that happen. Ligia screamed at me & warned that since she doesn't live in RI, I'd better stay one weight/size because she will not be there to fix anything at the last minute. So, I've been very focused on that. At my fitting 1 & 1/2 weeks ago everything fit & she was finally able to work on the length & the train.
Today I picked it up & tried it on & guess what? It's too tight! It fits everywhere but in my boobs. And it's bursting at the seams there. Dangerous Liaisons, tight corset, bursting. Yes, it's that time of the month so the boobies have expanded. Much to Tom's delight & my horror. I never even noticed how voluptuous I get during my monthly visit, but today I did. I had a bit of a meltdown, but, my wedding day is still a week away. I'm staying away from any salt, sugar, carbs, anything else that adds to breast mass. If that doesn't work than I'll start taking those pills for bloating. And a few prays couldn't hurt. I want to look pretty & elegant walking down the aisle, not like a DEADWOOD Madame!
Congratulations! I know your stress... My wedding is in about three weeks, and my dress fits fine everywhere BUT the bust. Out with the toilet paper? Anyway, you're gonna look gorgeous. Everything will go perfectly. And can I say it again! Congratulations!!! Michele sent me. :)
I'm sure you'll look gorgeous and stunning! And I can't believe your March wedding has arrived so quickly--it seems like just the other day you were setting the date. I will be holding glorious thoughts for you that everything goes smoothly. What time is the ceremony (so I can hold a good thought for you at the appropriate Pacific time)? Can't wait to see the photos!
Congratulations!! Hang in there. My fingers are crossed for early spring warming trends in RI - either way, it will be gorgeous there.
If you need a last-minute seamstress, there is a GREAT hole-in-the-wall place off of Hope Street downtown (across from CVS) that does a fantastic job, and so fast, too!!
Can't wait to see photos. Best wishes from me and husband!!
Darling dear, I know of the dress troubles too! I get a *little* more busty around Aunt Flo's visit, but never to points of voluptuousness! I wish you well with de-bloating! And you will be FABULOUS in your dress! I too lost weight the last week before the wedding and my mom (also my seamstress) was disappointed my dress that had fit perfectly the week before was slipping and sliding up and down. Whatever happens, enjoy yourself and enjoy every single moment of your big day!
Hi there, Congratulations!!! What an exciting day! hard to believe it has arrived already. I wish you all the best and more! Showers of rose petals falling on you all day! Cheers, Shelagh aka Blueberrymoon
