Gifts From Abroad

Tom arrived safely from Amsterdam last night. When I asked him to describe it he said it was a cross between Paris(architecture), Venice(canals)& the East Village(funky with artist types). He met wonderful people who treated him very well even though he's an American. They like us there! He was able to celebrate Queen's Day which he said was a huge street festival throughout the entire city. It was a day & 1/2 of dancing, eating, drinking & dubiage(ya know, pot). He brought me back some wonderful gifts, but no wooden clogs. There's chocolate(must try it from every possible country), Gouda cheese, smoked ham, a Van Gogh print & tulips. YAY! I love presents from foreign lands.

Dawn, I love all of your goodies! Is that part of the Van Gogh poster in the background? I don't think I've seen it before....what is the name of it?

You and Tom should come visit us in Maine...and we'll have a big Old Fashioned BBQ party! LOL

I've always wanted to visit there. Have you read Girl with the Pearl Earring?

Jes, I just may take you up on the BBQ offer!
The Van Gogh print is called Almond Blossoms.

Welcome Garlicster. I checked out you site & we have much in common.

Cyn, I haven't read it but may just pick up a copy.

Marilyn, How did the big move go?
